On October 5th, 4,000 runners will gather at the start line of the San Sebastián Rural Kutxa Half Marathon, a popular race that captivates and continues to grow year after year. Never before has a half marathon in Gipuzkoa brought together so many participants.
If you are taking part, please read this information carefully.

Start Time
The starting gun will go off at 9:30 a.m. The maximum time allowed to complete the half marathon is two and a half hours.

New Certified Course
Both the start and the finish line will be located this year on Donostia’s Boulevard, in the same place where the Behobia-San Sebastián race ends. The start has been moved 100 meters compared to previous editions to ensure runners’ comfort during the first meters. There will be different starting corrals (runners are advised to place themselves in the one closest to their target time).
Pace setters will be available for 1h20, 1h25, 1h30, 1h35, 1h40, 1h45, 1h50, 2h00, and 2h30 (sweep time).
The course, measuring 21.097 kilometers (official half marathon distance), has been certified by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.
Refreshment stations will be available after the 5th, 10th, and 15th kilometers, and at the finish line.
Bag drop will be located at Gipuzkoa Square (on race day, Sunday, from 8:30 to 13:00).

Bib Collection
You can collect your bib only at the location you indicated when registering (you can check it here).
If you chose one of the stores (Décimas, Gipuzkoa, Anglet, or Bordeaux), your bib will be available during store hours from October 1st to October 4th. If you do not collect it there, it will not be available at the Welcome area on race weekend.
If you did not select a store or home delivery for bib collection, you must pick it up at the Welcome area. Please note: this year, the Welcome area will be located on San Sebastián’s Boulevard, between the bandstand and city hall. Bibs may be collected there on Saturday, October 4th, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You will need to show the QR code included in your registration confirmation to collect your bib.
Bibs cannot be collected on race day.
If you requested home delivery of your bib, you will receive it during September.

The 4,000 race bibs on sale for the San Sebastian Rural Kutxa Half Marathon on 5 October have sold out in record time. Three months before the race, they have already sold out. 

October 5th will be the half marathon in Gipuzkoa with the highest participation ever. Never before has a 21.097-kilometre race had 4,000 participants. 

This year, as a novelty, there is the possibility of changing the bib holder until the 7th of September (the collection point can also be changed until the same day).

After registrations for this year's 2025 San Sebastián Rural Kutxa Half Marathon (October 5) sold out in record time, we've decided to open registration for the 2026 edition. This way, you can plan your visit to San Sebastián ahead of time and have the option to register for a longer period of time.

The 2026 edition (October 4) will be the fifth edition of this captivating half marathon. Although there's still plenty of time left, this gives you more time to prepare for the race. The introductory price is 29 euros (only for the first 100 race numbers). Prices will increase as the quotas are filled.
